The last 747 rolled out of Everett tonight.

Dude, you can’t even imagine.:bounce:
I find this odd and it raises questions. Were you a true believer that lost his faith over time or did you think it was all nonsense from the get go? I never cared for religion no matter how hard it was forced on me, in fact that's probably why I disliked it. I never felt guilty after beating off, pretending no one else was also doing it was silly.

I was a hardcore Bible-thumping “born again” Christian for the first 25 or so years of my life, then another decade as a deist, before finally realizing it was all BS. Brainwashing is hard to break.

First and last 74
Looking at the numbers for a 747-100 and a 747-8, it's interesting that the max payload remained unchanged, but the range at max payload more than doubled.

First
MTOW = 710,000 lb (322,100 kg)
Max Payload = 168,500 lb (76,280 kg)
Max Range = 2,600 nm

Last
MTOW = 987,000 lb (447,700 kg)
Max Payload = 167,700 (76,000 kg)
Range at Max Payload = 5,800 nm

I know we’ve carried well over 200k lbs. I think the max payload numbers may be wrong on the -8. I have no experience with it, but the -400 can do much better than that.

Or maybe their max payload numbers are not what I think they are…

747-8 290,000 lb
747 400F around 270,000
Not that you'll ever see that.

Ya, a typical load is in the 220,000lbs range. 100 Metric Tons. And it can do more. I've can think of some loads that are 130 Metric tons.

Not sure where those numbers are coming from but 76000kg is a medium load.

Not sure what you mean. Maybe you don’t understand the concept of being “saved” and “born again” under evangelical theology?

It's not unusual for people to use "born again" interchangeably with "zealot"

Honestly, semantics really doesn't matter here. You grew mentally, and that's a good thing.

Now if only we can get you to have some compassion, you might be a respectable citizen.

I'm the product of a Southern Baptist deacon dad and a card-carrying agnostic mother. I am completely ignorant about anything religious and I just defer to my non-practicing Lutheran on the other end of the sectional couch:

"What's that?"
"Why are they doing those things?"
"What the hell is a synod?" :)
