The Great Jumpseat War of 2019

Doesnt mean it's yours. Just becasue you contract out that work doesnt mean you own the tools. You give that up when you contract it out. Thats the whole point. United could cancel all that flying with skywest and Skywest could turn around and fly those routes as their own brand, sell all that lift to Alaska, ship them all south America and do whatever they want with it (unlucky but hopefully you get the point). You dont own the tools of a sub contractor!

Subs give priority to their main contractor. Also, the contractor owns most of the tools, like gate space, airplanes, slots, getting folks in seats, etc....

didn't skywest already try that and fail?

Supposedly a story of ZW pilot being denied a non-rev seat on OO today on APC.
That's right about where swift and painful remedial training is in order if true.

How did the cockpit crew know that he was a non-rev? Man, 189 seats, 189 butts, pushback checklist please.

Haha yeah there is a spot on the PW that shows how many seats are in the back. But I can never find it when I want to find it. It's much like waldo... lol

I’ve seen it somewhere, but again, never when I need it and whenever I do, it’s too late to actually use the information.

”There any seats I can take in back?”

”Uhh,we’d better ask the gate agent or the lead, I really dont.... NO NO NO DON’T PULL THE POWER DON’T PULL THE...” >>>CLACK<<<

I want to say its around the dents and other damaged lists. But I'll look in the morning and report back.

I start that APU as soon as it gets to 76 on any of the temp sensors. Only been dumped a few times thus far. Lol

I am very satisfied with the new jumpseat agreement, and glad UAL MEC came to the table.

Very happy to have my UAL brethren and sistren back on the jumpseat.

1. FAA / company “must ride.”
2. Own metal
3. Own metal dx
4. UAL/UAX by TOC
5. UAL/UAX DX / OAL pilots (TOC)
6. OAL DX
etc.

with all due respect, I’m not sure they think you all are brethren anymore.

I need to stop trying to look at the situation Socratically because it makes zero sense.
You should probably not look at anything in this business Socratically. That way lies madness (and/or [cringe at ironic or funny use of conjunctive disjunct] Sparta).

What do you define as the tools? Because If the tools are the seats in the back mainline owns them not you. It’s called a CPA.
