The Cherokee_Cruiser Pilot Hiring Grievance Thread

You can call it what you want. I still stand by it.

That really doesn’t have the impact you think it does.

There are people that say “I stand behind the Earth being flat! Period! End of statement!” but it doesn’t make it true.

In fact, I should head down to Wells Fargo and tell them I have $25 million dollars in savings. Call my balance what you want. I still stand by it.

You have my reluctant attention for about two more responses today, use them wisely.

Because when you attempt to dispute those with domain expertise, you’re declaring your opinions “on par” with those with experience.

There are literally two people with that “domain expertise” in this thread who continually say you’re giving our deleteriously false information, yet you continue.

I know the game though. Crow about a topic you know little about because it’s going to attract certain people disenfranchised with the system, you have your Norma Rae moment, you get the attention you desire and no one actually gets the help and guidance they’re looking for.

We do this how many times per month?

No. You’re on the hiring team along with jhugz at his shop. You’re inherently on the other side. It’s like asking a cop for legal advice. Sure, they know the law. But applicant be careful. You’re better off going with lawyers. Lawyers in this case the interview prep companies.

Hilarious. You don’t even know my role.

You have one response left, make it worthy otherwise, you have to wait for another 24 hours until I stop skipping past your posts.

Interestingly enough I was approached about doing consulting for a more small-batch, 'artisinal' prep firm, more on the technical side of things.

Then again I arguably have enough that I want to do as it is, and I'd worry about someone accusing me of misusing proprietary information (even if I don't have any on this topic).

There’s a story floating online of a guy, I think ex military, respected in the online community, started an interview prep company. Went to FedEx, hired. At FedEx, he then used his internal pull to get some really specific FedEx stuff for his interview prep clients . As the story goes, FedEx fired him for it.

Ouch and yikes!

It's a true story.

Story “floating around” is old news. And it’s not just FDX.

“There’s a story floating around that the Germans blazed through Poland this morning…”

So all the more reason, shouldn’t you be hiring my services? As an outsider, I have no legal connection to the big 4. Sounds like y’all can’t even say anything online. Blink twice fast if you are saying all these things against your will. :)

I’m sure you’d be fantastic at it, so long as you make sure each application is at least 432 pages. I hear that’s the secret sauce.

“Dude! Did you hear the one with Russians blazing through Ukraine these last 3 yrs?”

“Should I invest in Dinars or Rubles?”

This maybe one the dumbest things I’ve read, and I’ve been interacting with you a lot over the past couple of weeks.

I’m of course not going to give out confidential/proprietary company information, but to say we are giving out bad information, to what end?

I feel like we have this same discussion every month.

We do.

We have to continually read about his wounds, then hear how arrogant we are for stating that it stems from unfounded jealousy of strangers and after all, who cares, fly jets, cash a check. But then it pivots to something he saw on social media he’s not even supposedly on.

It’s like the scene from “The Matrix” where Neo is told “this has all happened before and will all happen again”

Nah. The crowd is just butthurt at some hard truths from the outside perspective. I have no dog in this fight, excluding 2016-2019. I couldn’t care less and haven’t for 6 years now. I capped max pay at 38 and if things go well, retire #3. We will only know if we made the right choice at age 65 (soon to be 67).

Anyway, I still call out the BS of hiring people who have literally bent 121 airplanes in the past, yet good folks like Acro don’t get a chance.
