Did the pilots actually help management lower Boeing's offer?
Not intentionally.
The world was supposed to be struck by the zombie apocalypse if the pilots voted no and there was a full court press to get a vote in the affirmative.

Do you think Delta will add more E190s than this initial order of 20?
If I had a dollar for every CA I've flown with who actually said they could careless about getting that ______ little jet. Have you lived under a rock for the last decade or more?
Hard to believe they would operate a small fleet of narrow bodies. Gives them some flexibility long term. At some point the 88s go poof. Who knows when. I say sooner rather than later personally.
Why does everybody think a 99-seat airplane flown at mainline is replacing a fleet of 149-161 seat aircraft???
I don't think it's replacing anything. I do think that 88s won't be around forever and a plan has to be in place. A combination of 190s, 717s, and 321s provides flexibility.
And the 190 can handle leg lengths that the 717 can't. We commonly load up with 5+ hours of fuel.
How many seats do they normally cram into the 195?And the 190 can handle leg lengths that the 717 can't. We commonly load up with 5+ hours of fuel.

I think the 195's have something like 120 seats? I'm not sure if there are any US operators of 195's.
