Hard to believe they would operate a small fleet of narrow bodies. Gives them some flexibility long term. At some point the 88s go poof. Who knows when. I say sooner rather than later personally.

They're not "orders" per se. They're sitting at Boeing, homeless, and Boeing had a "schmokin' deal".

Pilots don't have the power to cancel multi billion dollar orders when money wants the jets and they're serious about it.

I don't think it's replacing anything. I do think that 88s won't be around forever and a plan has to be in place. A combination of 190s, 717s, and 321s provides flexibility.

And the 190 can handle leg lengths that the 717 can't. We commonly load up with 5+ hours of fuel.

Sorry I should clarify we load that much gas into the @Autothrust Blue -mobile on a regular basis.

I think the 195's have something like 120 seats? I'm not sure if there are any US operators of 195's.

The 195s can hold up to 130 I believe. Azul is the biggest operator of that type. JTrain is right; there aren't any US operators.
