Just wanted to say thanks to JC and all the members here. I have learned a ton over the past year and a half. The advice I have gotten here has saved me money, made me a better pilot, and educated me about the industry. I feel bad for the guys that rush into this blindly and do not have such a resource as this.

Thanks to Doug and Kristie for starting the site, and making it a welcoming venue to visit unlike some other options out there.

I just accepted my first Part 121 position with Colgan as SAAB FO and I owe it to all the help and knowledge of the people that participate on this site.

Congrats on your 121 position!

I have not been on here as long as you, but have had a similar experience as yours. Doug has recently cut me some slack here, which I appreciated. Others have taken their time to both directly and indirectly mentor me by offering their personal experiences in aviation. I highly recommend this site to every one involved or wanting to be involved in aviation.

Good Luck in your new adventure

Dang man!!! 0-121 in no time.
It took me that long to go from Instrument to Commercial!

Congrats!

Congrats, DD.

I remember your first intro post. Wow, you've certainly made huge strides in pursuit of your dreams. From truckdriver to turbo-prop driver in under 2 years. Impressive! Way to go!

Congrats! I remember your old sig...something like "can a big ol' truck driver make it to the airlines?" Well you did it! Even though I don't know you personally, you always seemed like a guy with a strong work ethic and a sense of 'go git'em'. *sniff, sniff, tear* I am so proud of our JC folks!

And the takeover of Colgan continues! :)

Congrats man! I'll have to purchase you the adult beverage of your choice if you roll thru PHX!

:yeahthat::yeahthat: Congrats!!! :nana2:

Seriously, words taken right out of my mouth… It’s been cool seeing your progress from then till now.

:yeahthat: ... all of that.

I have to hijack this thread just a tad. My dad was a truck driver. I knew the lifestyle and trials he had to put up with. Driving a truck, to FO on a SAAB in such a short time, the drive and determination to do such a monumental task, You've been an inspiration to me personally, DD. So ... thank YOU!

And I agree, Doug and Kristie are AWESOME for creating a foundation for pilots to share and experience together.

Congrats on the position, that's just great news!!!

Congrats DD..

Its been an interesting adventure so far, looking forward to hearing about your progress..

Wait a sec...you go to work for Colgan and then White Air sells Tweety....

CONSPIRACY!
