Ted Stevens and Bypass

*shrug*. I'd rather pay a little more and get planes that at least run on time. But the day of inflation-adjusted $500k salaries, trolly-dollies, rock-star treatment, etc are over. Certainly the government must do more regulating that it is doing now, I think anyone with any knowledge of the system sees that this is the only way anything gets fixed. But it's simply not a reasonable expectation to have a fully regulated system again. Aviation has become the Greyhound of the skies, inflation-adjusted prices are as low as they've ever been, gas crisis or no. People are unwilling not to mention most likely unable to give that up. Growth is always a double edged sword.

That's why its time to try a different country. Like today, got put up in a 5 star hotel for the 4 hour layover between flights, god its nice to be on top :D

Well, for all you freight dawgs out there, ya'll better tune in to the Alaska senate race. Its only 1% away, and there are still 60k votes to count. If Stevens loses to Begich, the bypass mail routes will come up for open bid again and bush aviation will go through the roof again. Get ready to be flying CASAs and 1900s into St. Maries and more. The post office doesn't exactly like the current choices of NAC, Lynden, Everts and Alaska Airlines as the only bypass mail outlets, companies like my old company (ACE, where I'll probably return at 23) and Hageland and more will go through the roof! Get ready for some badass flying jobs to open up if he gets in. Its gonna be good.

will there be some opening for under 500TT pilots too?
