LORAN was land based. We didn't have many of these locations throughout the Soviet Union, China, MidEast, or South Pacific in those days.

Dammit, it's now 2am and I just read the first two chapters. Great so far. Downloaded from the iTunes book store for $9.99. Might find it cheaper elsewhere but it's now on my ipad and didn't leave my couch.Another good read... Not too much piloting stuff but the behind the scenes stuff is very interesting. Couldn't put it down.

Actually it's one of my favorite museums anywhere. And I think the only place where you can see an M-21 Blackbird... just to keep it on topic![]()
