Out of curiosity, will he or someone like him with 208 SIC time have trouble getting picked up by a major/lcc after the regionals?

Clearly Envoy hired him but wonder if majors will take issue with that time or question the quality of the applicant.

I’ll report back if I ever get on with a Major, but doesn’t seem to have held anyone back yet that I know of.

Flew with an Air Choice One dude right off of OE. Cheap-O Air doesn’t care. (As a matter of fact I think he came from Expressjet. Almost the same story as Swayne)

Another discussion all together, but I prefer the linked controls, back driven auto throttles, and having to trim. We run the HUD, and after getting it figured out, I don't want to fly without one. If I were king of the airline, there would be dual HUD's (I'd throw EVS in there as well) on every airplane.

Nothing wrong with the bus, it's a fine jet as well. I just enjoy actually flying the 73 more. But I'm weird that way, I loved flying the Super 80.

End of the day QOL is king, and since it's looking like the bus will be my ticket to driving to work, instead of commuting, thats probably where I'll be going.

whereas i bid off of the 737 the day i could...i despised that airplane.
 
How do you know you're old? Watch the video, being prepared to bring the hate, find that the kid seems fairly reasonable and is far less annoying than you'd expected. Also find that you still kinda want to punch him.

Also, filming from the right seat of a parked caravan, in uniform, through a headset. :D

Not sure why so much dislike for him. He commuted GFK-FAR-DEN-HNL to start work for 2 years at Mokulele. He's not just being handed everything...

Back in my day we would have litrully KILLED for the opportunity to WALK across the country to fly a KITE.

But uh no I think my real beef is with the billions of youtube videos proliferating wherein some shiny-toothed upper-middle class kid breathlessly explains the ins and outs of their fairly humdrum life or interests over what is evidently meant to be inspirational music with the obvious expectation that lots of people will be on the edges of their seats to learn more. And if they aren't, said kid jumps out a window and now we're all supposed to get super sad and worked up about bullying or something.

And, yeah, I know, I know, he gets lots of views so obviously lots of people really want this kind of cra...er content. Fair enough, but I still have every right to be annoyed by it.

Put it this way. If you're 20-something, went to school, got good grades, worked hard to get where you are, bravo, you colored between the lines, and this will likely pay great material dividends over the remainder of your life. But in terms of what makes someone *interesting*, you're basically a fetus. You haven't had time to do anything interesting. Now get off my lawn. And my screen.
