Check out Boeing's 737-700ER, range 5,510 nautical miles:

No one cared when transatlantic service was in 707s, and they have the same cabin cross section as the 737-700ER. Let's just hope the legroom will be the same as in the 707 era. It will be very interesting to see what sort of routes this new derivative will open up. I think a lot of people would be happy to make the trip in a 737 if it either saved them money or saved them the time of an extra connection.
