SWA FO arrested for trying to board with a handgun

Given that that it's the majik-believing, whack, Venn union set of the Crazy Demo, you are probably correct, but that was the irony that was supposed be subtly implied in my earlier post. ;) I'm coming around to a theory that gun nutters fetishize guns for the same reason that flaccid, slightly-post-middle age guys who like to wear leather fetishize Harleys. You know, they're so damned loud they can't help but be noticed.

Extremely unlikely. I get more thoroughly vetted traveling on Fedex than I do any passenger carrier. Show me in the history of Fedex/UPS asides from Calloway when a stowaway hijacking has happened?

Risk calculation.... where would you put that chance? I'd have to put it zero. What terrorist going to try to stowaway on a Fedex plane in hopes of trying to take you over? Never has happened. Far easier to just outright buy a used 727/737 on the market (ASO.com) and fly it as a weapon.

Inside threats, yes. Stowaway or hijacker argument on Fedex/UPS gets to be ridiculous. If we are to be reasonable and honest, your biggest threat in terms of humans is going to be the insider factor. And as history has shown, that's *precisely* what it was.

FFDOs on Fedex/UPS is a laughable concept.
you're right, you always are...please stop arguing with him @Hacker15e , you are clearly wrong and don't know what you are talking about even though you work there.

According to the FFDO regulations and operations guidelines, it's shoulder holster. But only when the 12ga is properly stowed in the shotgun rack mounted on the cockpit interior wall above the entrance door.

They have just issued new policy guidelines. It's a dual small of the back holster so you have a primary and a backup weapon. The 12ga has been changed to a flame thrower as there were concerns about explosive decompression if you hit the wrong part of the airframe. FFDOs are now also required to wear an eye patch to aid in eyesight protection when going from the cockpit to the passenger hold to ensure FFDOs can acquire who the hottest flight attendant is.

Are they still arming the claymore anytime the flight deck door is locked?

Asking for a friend from Qatar....

Guys, if you keep talking about the eye patch the terrorists have won...
