SWA Assistant Dispatcher Posting

The email states that they changed the req and to go reapply. But I couldnt detect any change???
Did anyone else see a difference between 2014-8485 (12/2) and 2014-8564 (12/4)?
I just re-applied as if I had never been there before. I think they had some glich on their end.
I dont understand how so many folks with zero exp are getting thru? Maybe they had to "reset" the filters

The answer is no. That question basically asks if you were invited to test, however didn't pass or make it to the next round. By answering yes to that question, you disqualify yourself.
That is some BS! I answered honestly. I was invited to test YESTERDAY. So, with this method had I answered "no" and answered "yes" to the honestly question, I would have disqualified myself as well?

There are conflicting answers
From the board to the question
regarding Southwest testing within
the last 12 months. If one waits to reapply they could take the position down and you lose the job. What is the correct answer for this question?

Dude, it's simple... What they really want to know is WERE you invited to take the test and then you took the test and then you either didn't get a call back or you were passed over on the hiring.....So do you see? The email that they sent out 1 day ago does NOT constitute you actually going to WN and taking the test and going thru the process.....
The rule is, I believe, you can't reapply for 6 or 12 months after you have GONE THRU THE BASIC PROCESS. So if you reapply now, because they "corrected" or "updated" the job listing, you DID NOT GO TAKE THE TEST.. So just say NO. Pretend it's last week.

Hello there. It is odd everyone I know received this new email to re apply under a new acquisition number. I wonder what went wrong. I re applied and answered "no" on the question regarding have you been invited to test in the last 12 months....because officially all I received yesterday was the email asking what day you want to test. I replied to it, but safely assume there will be no response to the email reply I sent. It's my assumption that mgmt is starting fresh with a clean slate, but what do I know.

Taxiback is correct, the request is to reapply. So, in reapplying, you have not gone through the process.

The question didn't ask whether I had tested, it asked whether I have been asked to test. Those are very different questions aren't they?
Yes, but they cancelled the other job requisition and just reissued it. All they were asking you to do, was to reapply under the new requisition, therefore your answers should have been the same from before. Just my .02.

And I think that's wrong. Reiterate that one must fully re-apply. Nothing in the email said that. Nothing. Why should I be overlooked because of a mistake on their end? I shouldn't be. I was invited and then the offer is rescinded because I answered as I was asked to?

Your offer to test was not rescinded....it just said to reapply due to a change in the requisition right?

A friend of mine, who builds and sales HR software that performs all this automated resume work, told me he thinks the software or a software admin sent out the Test offer email BEFORE they had actually screened the candidate paperwork for the basics. He said it is Waaaaay easier for them to just delete all the resumes and start over. Like I said, I could not see one single difference between the two job reqs.
I really think they just had a glitch and now we just have to start over. Honestly, it took me 3 mins to reapply. No worries.

This makes sense. No way they could have actually screened so many resumes in such a short time. They had invites out before the posting was taken down. That also could be an issue. The turn around between job posting and test taking is also very quick. When someone told me when they would be taking the test, I was surprised by how quick they were moving on this.

I hope my buddy I have been helping to get ready for this test still gets invited!

Except for the fact that Ms. Jackson is a real person, a very nice one at that. Basically if you met the basic qualifications, you were invited to test. They can and will weed out candidates via the testing and interview phase. So no, it wasn't some software of software admin.

All y'all just need to calm down. Apply, test, interview. If you are a qualified and a competitive candidate you will get the job.

Thanks CPZ9900! This emotional roller coaster is too much to bear! I'll just keep studying until I get the invite again:)

I am calm...Peanut butterJelly.---

Yes Im sure Ms Jackson is wonderful. But if the software reads "screening complete"... and then she sends out some version of chimpmail that simply spams every applicant instead of the the actual curated list of candidates. See the diff....Applicant vs. Candidate.

If you had any useful advice I would love to hear it...? Real estate, Stocks, whatta ya got? Did your ankle bracelet finally drop off?
