Surf Air is looking for qualified and experienced individuals to join our operations team as Flight Dispatchers. Dispatchers will work in our System Operations Center (SOC) in Hawthorne, CA.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
• Dispatchers ensure the safe and efficient dispatch of Surf Air aircraft in both scheduled and on-demand operations. • Coordinate flow of information to all operating groups for both normal and irregular operations. • Review weather, NOTAMS, maintenance information and crew resource data to develop an effective operating plan. • Prepare weather briefing, flight plan and fight release for delivery to crew. • Coordinate with SOC shift manager and appropriate departments to maintain operational control. • Ensure flight operations are conducted in accordance with applicable FARS and company policy and procedure. • Document operating information including OOOI data, delay codes, significant operational impact data in the appropriate area.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• FAA Dispatcher certificate.
• Two years dispatch experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Intermediate or better skills in MS Office suite.
• Previous airline operations suite (Sabre, Merlot, Zapways etc) experience preferred.
• Previous 135/121 operations center experience preferred.
Status: Full Time
Rotating shifts
Nights, weekends, holidays possible.
Some business travel may be required.
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Business, finance or aviation degree preferred
Must be able to pass a 10-yr DOT Background/Criminal/DMV Check and Drug Screen.
