The Dispatcher is responsible for partnering with the Pilots for the operational control of the flight.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Essential roles and responsibilities of a Dispatcher:</strong></p><p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p><ul><li>Conduct flight planning, dispatch releases, operational control, and flight monitoring for all flight operations withing assigned route system</li><li>Review and update applicable crews of system-wide weather, maintenance data, and crew resource factors to develop an effective operation</li><li>Support the operation by providing crews flight planning, weather, fuel, and alternate airport information</li><li>Conduct pre-flight briefings with crews to include current weather, NOTAMS, and field conditions</li><li>Administer the routes and re-routes for aircraft and flight crew to maintain schedule integrity, and to accommodate for maintenance, crew time, and weather.</li><li>Coordinate with internal stakeholders to maintain control of the operation</li><li>Review and revise Jeppesens and all other relevant department manuals</li><li>Communicate basic weather and forecast to appropriate stakeholders</li><li>Communicate and coordinate with Air Traffic Control</li><li>Ensure all flight related operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the Federal Aviation Requirements (FAR) and company policies and procedures </li><li>Coordinate with the maintenance department regarding mechanical problems and MELs</li><li>Any other duties assigned by management</li></ul><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>The qualifications we are looking for in Dispatcher include:</strong></p><ul><li>Valid FAA Aircraft Dispatch Certificate</li><li>At least one-year Part 121 Domestic/Flag dispatch experience </li><li>Excellent computer skills</li><li>Exceptional ability to multi-task while working under pressure</li><li>Strong knowledge of applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, Weather and technical dispatch skills</li><li>Must be flexible to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.</li></ul><p><strong>PREFERRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATION, AND EDUCATION</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelors degree in related field </li><li>Experience with NavBlue Flight Planning</li><li>Experience with AeroData</li></ul><p> </p><p>Sun County Airlines respects and values every employees contribution to our business.
