CommuteAir North Olmsted, Ohio:<BR /><p><strong>What the position is:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>The primary duty of the Dispatcher and the Dispatch center is to jointly, with the PIC, control the movement of Company aircraft in such a manner as to maximize safety, comply with applicable regulations, and schedule efficiency.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p><ul><li>Pre-plan each flight departure with the primary emphasis on safety, compliance, passenger convenience, and schedule continuity</li><li>Assist the PIC in flight preparation and providing required information. This includes preparation of Dispatch Releases and submitting ATC flight plans to the departure center</li><li>Monitor information regarding weather trends and airport conditions in order to anticipate changing conditions that may affect aircraft operations</li><li>Brief flight crews on meteorological and airport conditions, airways, aircraft mechanical status, NOTAMs, and procedures as required for safe and efficient completion of flights</li><li>Delay, reroute, divert, and overfly all Company aircraft in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and Company procedures</li><li>Issue timely information to stations and other departments concerning release preparation, fuel loads, passenger information, aircraft assignments and swaps, delays, cancellations, unscheduled landings, diversions, entering delay information/remarks in AirWatch, and overflies</li><li>Monitor the progress of each flight under his operational control to ensure Dispatch release compliance and to provide the flight crew with information regarding the safe completion of the flight</li><li>Accountable for the Safety Management System (SMS) responsibilities described in the Companys SMS Manual and 14 CFR part 5.23</li><li>Shall ensure that aircraft are dispatched consistently with the Company&rsquo;s fuel policy</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>General requirements &amp; qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Must be at least 23 years of age</li><li>Must be legal to work in the United States (A citizen or national of the United States, a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work)</li><li>Must own the valid United States or foreign passport with applicable VISAs</li><li>Must have the right to travel freely in and out of the United States, to and from all cities served by CommutAir without restriction</li><li>Fluent in the English language, both written and spoken</li><li>Satisfactory 10-year background history, including criminal background</li><li>Hold a valid FAA Dispatch certificate</li><li>Excellent communication skills, written, spoken, and&nbsp;radio</li><li>Basic Computer skills</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p>
