Sully movie

Which one didn't you enjoy?

And do not say "Every Which Way But Loose" or I will cut you.

Right turn, Clyde.

(and by the way, The Gauntlet was pretty awful, but I can't tell if we're trying find a movie he directed that we didn't like, or a movie he acted in that we didn't like.)

Wasn't the one where he was stuck in the Airport pretty bad? The Terminal? Not the best Tom Hanks movie...

The Gauntlet lets me see old-school Arizona and the city of Phoenix and all the places I recognize. Vegas too.

For Phoenix, the "police station" Eastwood walks into and out of with the large glass doors, is actually Phoenix Symphony Hall downtown.

Not to mention the Hughes Air West DC-9 .

I got an 8 hour lecture on how the jews are destroying the world the other month.

Must be the radiation.
No, he said juice, and it was about the dangers of over farming and how inefficient the juicing process really is. Did you realize it takes 10 oranges to make 1 liter of orange juice? Add that to the fact that 30% of the oranges grown will not be suitable for juicing whether it be they fail to ripen, they get affected with disease, or fall of the tree before its their time and you need an additional 30% of acreage just to account for the loses. This isn't even considering the environmental impact of the methods involved. And this is just orange juice, the second most efficient fruit to juice(2nd to tomato). Apple juice and pomegranate juice makes orange juice look amazingly efficient. I made up every bit of that, btw, not a single shred of fact just precoffee mind waking up ramblings.

I hope they highlight the fact that even though Sully and crew saved everyone aboard they were sill assumed guilty until they were proven innocent. If this ever happens to you you better hope no one says you have an alcohol problem or, even worse, your Jepps aren't out of date.

Ugh. In my 9 years of this career I've heard all kinds of ridiculous crap.

Now you don't have to go to work. Just turn on FOX.

Means that you're flying with a extremely weak captain.

Confidence means that you largely keep your political views to yourself because you're not wistfully longing for validation.

I dunno. It could also mean that he's out of effs to give and just doesn't care anymore.

I'm seeing a lot of that from specific demographics lately.

Welp, he needs to stare out of the window for a few hours.

A hostile environment doesn't breed good CRM.

Not having experience in CRM, I will defer. I believe you're correct.

I actually should have worded my last differently, because I wasn't disagreeing that he was a weak captain. I just meant the validation part. Should have been clearer.

You didn't like the Gauntlet?

Fair enough, it's bad, but.....

Oh man. What's not to love about the Gauntlet. Nice nostalgic scenes of the desert southwest, Hughes AirWest jets, forgotten old American sedans.....

"I got this badge, I got this gun, and I got the love of Jesus right here in my pretty green eyes......"

It doesn't have to be a masterpiece to be great.....!

That's the weird part. I feel like we are in the process of evolving out of "old school" aviation. That kind of BS happens, but when I bring up something from the right seat I have yet to have it be met with anything other than "holy crap, thanks for catching that man."

CRM is really just technical jargon for humility and people skills. It exists in every industry, we just have a special term for it because we've screwed it up for so long.

Okay, you make a good point. I forgot about that line.
