Sully movie

At first I was like... meh.

But after watching the trailer, I'm kind of thinking it might be ok. Tom Hanks looks the part, the FO isn't getting glossed over, and the level of detail (the ID's actually have the USAPA "Union Pilot" badge backers) is pretty impressive. We'll see how it turns out in the end, but so far, Clint Eastwood hasn't made too many bad movies. Also, the whole thing is shot in IMAX.

I liked the book, and although I know a lot of pilots have mixed feelings about him, I admire him. Wonder if the IMAX format will add a lot or just add to the box office revenue with the increased ticket prices?

I know USAirways did a lot with the film and hopefully accuracy prevails. I flew with on of our pilots who is in the movie, playing the part of a fed trying to recreate the incident in the sim. I didn't see how they could make a movie out of a short well publicized event like this but now I'm looking Forward to it.

Looks great...but what's even better than the trailer is that comments section.

Gold everywhere!

Tom Hanks usually nails dramatic roles, pretty excited to see this one. So far, Forrest Gump and The Green Mile have been my favorite two. With this, the aviation tie in may make it another favorite, guess we'll see.

Book was good, the movie looks good. Yeah, he did trash the regionals a good bit, but a mainline pilot hopelessly out of touch with the regionals is not uncommon.

I look forward to seeing the movie.
I just went and re read some of his testimony over the years...holly crap.

Wow, I am surprised at how many of you like the chick flicks that Tom Hanks did. So nice to see those soft sides! :D
Somehow I thought chick flicks were torture...now I know that might not be the case. ;)
