Stop messing with certificates

Passports are forged all the time.

Ironically, it isn’t THAT hard to fake a pilot certificate right now if somebody really wanted to.

Not really sure what security measures are even needed. It will be bounced against a photo ID. Having them on your phone in case you forget your wallet or bag containing your certs would be an awesome backup. I wish medicals were digital too.

This isn’t a debate. I’ll believe it when I see it. Hopefully the swamp votes it down.

It literally is for a lot of things.

It’s the only thing the Eskimo Airline’s agents ask me for when I jumpseat home with them. I don’t think they’ve ever even looked at my company ID or passport even though I hand them all three when I go to the gate to list.

I really don’t want to have to convince the Chinese Aviation Inspector, during a ramp check, that it’s “all online”.

Probably the scariest are the ramp checks in Korea. “Hello? Flight Control? He’s looking for a Form 1239A87-12-A1-91-B1 or the flight is going to be cancelled. I have no idea what he’s asking about and he looks very angry”

I actually do think we should be in either TWIC or have Merchant Mariner Credential-like licenses, but that ship has sailed long ago.

I definitely agree with you re: the medical certificate, though.

Bro, do you even Tahiti though?

Every. Damn. Time.

I'm an above-average consumer of operational information, or at least I fancy myself so, and I worry I'd be dead weight on such a ramp check. "We have a Form 1239A87-12-A1-91-B1?"

I'm currently trying to move my HSA to Fidelity. Fidelity sent the paperwork over via fax. FAX. With predictable results. But lets not use completely secure transactions within a second.

OK.
I’m fine with Fax. Certified Mail. Notaries. I just appointed a registered agent. No one needs AI.
