Nah, I'm not gonna be there. I usually know at least a few of the people representing; but that wasn't the case the most recent event. I don't know who is going to be in Chicago yet....although, I'm sure it will be some combination of HR and management/ line pilots (obviously).

So I'm guessing they will be hiring quite a few FA's here soon? Not for me but a friend is trying to become one and I think Spirit is one of the few carriers that take people under 21 to be FAs.

Thanks! I've noticed that. I read your whole thread on training at JetBlue, very well done. JB will be the first exhibitor I visit at the WIA conference.

Back to Spirit: I plan on making it to the Chicago Job Fair, but it's getting very expensive. I'm very keen on Spirit, I just don't think Spirit is too keen on me.

If you're referring to the WIA conference next month in March at Nashville, VX will be there too.

Yeah, I saw them on the exhibitor list. They're mins are 4000TT, as far as I know, they don't offer a military conversion, so no point in me dropping off my resume with them.

I'll stop by and say hi though, probably a good bunch of people to talk to.

How much do you have? If you have at least 3,500 then might as well drop it off. I've heard (unconfirmed) we have taken a guy with 3,500 total.

APC and spirit's website says 3000TT 1000ME.

Yes, for Spirit, those are correct. What I'm fearing is the true mins for Spirit are much higher, I'm just not competitive with my hours, especially without a military conversion.

BUT, I was talking about Virgin, their mins are 4000TT, I've been told they won't look at you until you until then. I'll stop by their booth and say hi, I bet they're great guys and I'd like to learn more about their airline, but right now I'm only interested in Spirit and others where I meet their mins.

I want my first interview to be my last, I'm looking for my career airline.

I understand what you guys are saying, what I'm saying is, I'm not the kind of guy that chases greener pastures. I've just retired from the AF, been in since 1990, so when I pick a place, I'm pretty apt to want to stay.

Obviously I've something happens and I have to move on, so be it, but I don't try to chase the bucks either, I'm more about the QOL and travel than anything else.

Well, and that's what we're saying. I think most people like to stay put and build some seniority, but the airlines have other plans.
As far as I can tell you can try to make an educated decision, but it still seems to come down to a crap shoot.
