Spirit hit by gunfire in PAP

This really isn't a new thing. There was a person who unloaded into an MD-88 because he assumed his ex-wife was on the jet, from his car near the north complex in ATL and it was in the news for a brisk 24h. But then the media wasn't driven by AI producing click-worthy content.

It’s Texas. Everybody and their brother is armed to the teeth. Was bound to happen eventually.
Uh, I’m armed to the teeth. I’ve never shot an airplane. Correlation vs causation and all. As a country I think there has always been some expectation of self regulation. Sadly I believe that’s going away. Not just in the subject of firearms. But across the board. The amount of crimes committed I see in any given city on any given day is atrocious.

To be fair, people armed to the teeth are more likely to do such an action. You know. Because they have the tools to do the job.

Most I got in my home are my knives for cooking. Really don't care to get a gun or rifle unless it has historic relevance

People have been shooting at airplanes since their inception, actually hitting one is exceptionally difficult, that's why skeet/trap shooters use shotguns instead of proper rifles.
