It seems in previous years Spirit does a couple rounds of hiring around this time. I got my resume in when they reposted this opening on October 1ish and they took it down a couple days later. It was on my dashboard until yesterday and this morning it's gone as if I never applied. Does anyone think they might complete another round or two of hiring before Spring?

With how quickly the company is growing (especially with the merger coming up), along with losing people to the Majors the last two years, they will be hiring quite a bit more I think. This upcoming class in November is their third this year. Barring economic collapse, I don't see the hiring stopping any time soon.

It’s their 5th class this year I believe. January, May, July, August, November… prob January again. It’s been non-stop. I think classes were in FLL, MCO, MCO, FLL, FLL…

I don't know about right away necessarily, but the union contract is up for renegotiation next year, so I'm sure the new merger will certainly up some pay expectations.

I was told that the current contract expires in October 2023, but negotiations could start much earlier than that. We'll see.
 
Ya I’m curious to see what happens. When Spirit no longer exists, I’m guessing the dispatch Contact with the union won’t either. I’m sure the pilots will but that’s because of ALPA.

You can't just make a union contract go away. I believe the two groups from their respective airlines will have to vote whether to be organized or not. It's probably addressed in Spirit's CBA as to how to proceed.
