Southwest Opening Sept.

They may be reverting to their old method of removing the notice as soon as they got a set number of applications. It used to not be uncommon for dispatcher postings to only be up for a couple of hours with them. Perhaps a current WN employee can shed more light on what happened. At any rate, congrats on getting your application submitted, and good luck!
Ehh It was only open for a few hours if that were the case. Based on the way their chief trainer (or whatever the position was) was saying, only putting it up for a few hours 4 days before they said it was going up; only to immediately close it within a few hours, would be contradictory to what they said. With that in mind, I'd say its more likely that someone in HR goofed and posted it too early

I wonder for those that actually submitted the application on this posting, if they would honor the application or should we apply again once they Re-Post.

Try to reapply if it’s a new posting it’ll likely clear out previous submissions. Better to try and it say you’ve already applied than to assume and it doesn’t get considered

In the weekly career connection the specifically said 9/11-9/25. Pretty sure it was unintentional

So, the application submitted as an "early" applicant is still showing as "in process".

That mean for those of us who made the application with the earlier than stated date, don't have to make another one?

I’d leave it. If they just reactivated the old posting that means you’ll withdraw your app and it will not let you resubmit. Leave it and hope for the best

Rumor is WN redid their assessment structure for this round. Can't remember the exact amount of questions or time allotted but essentially it sounds like they were having issues with people acing the assessment then bombing the technical interview so this test is supposed to reduce the chances of that happening. Source was a friend of a friend so feel free to take this info with a grain of salt. I suspect we'll be getting invites to test the week after the 25th.

Heard the same 30 mins and 40

Bring back in person testing
Too expensive. Covid proved it can be done for a much cheaper cost by proctoring online. In 2019 they were flying almost 200 people out plus hotels/per diem just for phase one testing. Then a second time for interviews. Wash, rinse, repeat every time they hire. I believe they were the only major doing in person assessment testing then. Now I dont even think AAL provides a hotel for you for the interview.

UA still seems to do this. If they like your answers to the Self Interview questions they make you do they send you to Chicago to take an assessment in person then if you do well enough they immediately take you into a panel interview. If you don’t do good enough on the test they tell you thanks but no thanks and send you on your way.

Can confirm UA flies a limited number out once, and only those who they are already interested in interviewing whom had already passed a 1st round video interview. Far fewer than those SWA used to bring out for in person testing.

So now that testing letters have gone out, realistically speaking (with them testing on the week on 10/2) at what point should one expect to not be included in this? Asking for a friend, of course ;)
