Oh no....et tu Brute...Am I to follow my own advice??? I was there numb-nut. I am happy to share facts and data for those who really want to know at least something of value.
Im no jerk when I expose a liar. That's the sad problem, there is just too much crap and hearsay regarding jobs and interviewing from people who know nothing at all.
And for some reason they feel the need to "inform" others of/from their lack of knowledge. Im tying to say, "stop misleading people who are in need of real information."
There's too much second and third hand nonsense.
I was there. Lots and lots of externals!!! So Flygirl , if you want more info from a jerk who was there and is willing to share that info, feel free to PM me.
And Luigi, just stop. You come across like a an elementary school hall monitor instead of the wise guy you wanna be.
Yeah it is. I applied for the FLIFO agent back in April. Still says 'under review' Never got a TBNT ,but believe me I'm still holding out hope that they'll call about it.
It has been my experience that if it takes 2-3 months or 5-6. WN will send you a TBNT email eventually or they will contact you long after you applied....they'll contact you in some form or fashion.
Believe me....I'm the TBNT king right now![]()
@flygirl 05 if this helps.... I'm an external and tested last week. Was offered two sessions each on Wed or Thurs.Do you know if its just internals or both? Good Luck!
@Summerdayz, do you have a college degree?
Si in Computer Science back in '87. I jokingly call my IT career my "previous life". Stumbled on dispatching in '93 (like many others never ever knowing about the profession) and caught the bug.
Agreed @Burrito the TBNT's can be discouraging. I'd love to see you replace TBNT with "KUDOS"! as you are doing amazing. I didn't break into the airline (at a small commuter doing crew payroll and planning) until 3 full years after I got my ticket. Not only was I not around the business for 3 years, I wasn't keeping my newly acquired skills and knowledge sharpened. During that time NWS changed the way they wrote wx . But 1 year after that I was blessed to hire on with a small regional when the FAA had their shop (all pax sched ops) go from 135 to 121. No doubt with your quote about "hunger" I'll be seeing you dispatching 121 soon.Agreed - This is definitely the time to get in. I got my ticket last year, interviewed a few places shortly after but received TBNT's. Been sitting at my 135 desk patiently waiting for the next opportunity...
I actually just got my phonecall.. it wasnt good news. Good luck to everyone else!
