Sorry Bobduck

Eh, that Mesa bird flew another 5 legs before anybody noticed the back end looked like crumpled tinfoil.

My turn, my turn, don't break all the planes before I get back. No Roanoke Mesa landings please.

Ethan is doing them all ;)! SO I am sure we will be alright. I do remember the one day he flew with you and called me the night before swearing him and I were doing a flight. I was like, "Hmmm no I'm at home off, but there's another Paul Meyer (lack of the s)."

:D Now Ethan is going to be off the list tomorrow, next one is Jeremy! :D

Horrible 700 landings? I got the tip for you! Just swipe the power at 100 ft and pull back hard and you should grease it on! I can see the look on Ethan's face already:D

Please don't do this, please. You will destroy the airplane.

Funny you mention that. In my very little time in the 700, I flew with a captain who bugged VREF plus 10 and pulled the levers to idle at 100 feet and it seemed to work out for him.
I'd never try that, I just do what most folks do, start walking the levers back at 30 feet and it seems to settle on the runway without compression of my spine. (Our company SOP is bug VREF +5)

Yes, and I planted that -200 going in for paint.

I was trying to remember who I flew that trip with. It was REALLY late if I recall and that runway sucks anyway.

I was thinking awww crap... but then I remembered we flew a 200 to MGM that time so it wasn't me. SAVED!

About as relevant as this useless banter. . .

. . .coming from the god of Alaska 135 flying.

I don't know guys, but eventually trying to show how much better you are based on who or what you fly really is a shallow argument with no basis in reality and it gets old. Then, there are those who realize that we are only able to improve our collective profession by seeking certain changes through a number of avenues, and these people get lambasted because they're trying to improve their work environment. It's amazing really.

I read this and was about to make a little speech, but I like what Bob wrote better. So let me just reinforce..."Sit down if you can't aim that well."

I seem to recall a TSA crew that had an F/O do a flaps 45 landing that was, as he called it, "a little extreme, but way more fun."

TSA claims to have returned it to airworthiness, but Eagle retired the airframe.

I'm sure she lives on as an organ donor for the rest of Jungle Jets in the system.

Dude... get your own thread. If people care (and I actually do a bit) they'll discuss it over there.

THIS is the problem with JC as of late. People, for what ever reasons have their little pissing matches and being the little boys (and girls sometimes) that they are, can't aim very well and end up splashing all over other threads.

Sit down if you can't aim that well. Jesus.

And wash your damned hands afterwards too!

Eh...I'd rather wash my junk afterward. I feel it gets more dirty from my hands than my hands getting more dirty from touching it. Plus...I was taught to aim in and around the bowl...not on my hands.

;) ;)

I find myself staring at the PSA birds as they go zipping by the FBO here in CLT. Of course I always laugh when I see 708PS go by. Reminds of me of my last flight the day I was furloughed. CA had not flown in about a month and it was only my 4th trip or so in the 700. And of course as we take off out of RIC the flaps/slats fail message comes up. That was a nice little going away present.

Well how do you report back on flying with Da Duck... :) Actually it was probably one of the more enjoyable flights during my time at PSA. Its always good to fly with a "friend." Although it was also fun as we are flying over CVG at like 5am in the morning hearing your Captain say, "You can almost see IND from here." Hmmmm :) Ethan that was Cincy :)!

But it was a good time. Especially doing probably my first approach down to mins before seeing the SLIGHEST of MIRL. Definately the worst ceilings and visibility I have landed in either as PM or flying.... :)

And then of course the poor paxs in the back who had to suffer through my lovely landing in good ole BNA... :) All in all good times and would love to do it again! Next is Mr Jeremy! Watch out buddy!

Sounds like a blast. Wouldnt worry about the landing. You're an absolute flying god if you're able to land the 700 smooth every time. Especially when landing light.
