Someone here should be a CFI

I was planning on going for my CFI, but I have a friend that does 25 nm scenic tours at KBJC so we'll see.

Not to pick on you because many do it. If you could list the name of the airport as opposed to the identifier it would save 500 people Googling KBJC.

For others... Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport

I am not a CFI, but I feel I could be one some days.

I'm not a CFI and as long as I keep a loaded gun in the house it would be best if I never become a CFI.

If I didn't just have a trip there, I would've been doing the same.

Got those tickets a whiiiile back but just now that I'm approaching 1K hours do I feel like I have enough real-world time-in-flight experience to be an effective instructor who doesn't just waste a potential pilot's time and hard-earned money . . . I guess some of us are not natural-born teachers and need to acquire 'em skillz through learning AND practical experience.

Despite my utterly crappy flying, @DPApilot offered constructive advice, and appropriate critique. Probably much better than I do. So, get off your butt and get one, son...
Honestly Russ, that means a lot. For those of you who don't know, I recently started flying gliders again. I first started about 10 years ago and go to the solo stage. @drunkenbeagle signed me off to solo again and thanks to him, I'll be adding Commercial Glider to my certificate. Hopefully soon after I'll add my CFIG and finally become an instructor.

No offense but I always assumed you had your CFI.

That being said I think you should go for it.

Being a CFI sucks

I get random calls and emails about doing BFRs and IPCs. No, I don't want to do that at all, it sucks.

I wish I got those, bit far from the action at the minute. Thinking about seaplane though...
