Someone here should be a CFI

I should be one in a few months. Finally got restarted (again). It's been in the works since 1992, but my train always seems to get derailed. This is the most progress I've ever made though and it's looking like I should be able to chase it all the way to the 8710 this time. Never give up.
Maybe I'll go finish my BS or get a BA one of these days too. MSU and WMU are just down the road from me. I'll have to quit my job first though, so maybe I'll get it after I retire.
 
Getting/working as a CFI has always been poo-pooed, but it's like working out. Unless you're a fitness nut, not really appealing, but it is actually pretty good for you.

Sharpens your technical skills.

Prepares you for the unexpected.

Improves inter-personal skills.

Learn how to be responsible for people and machine.

Helps you deal with the real world morass of airplanes, weather, people and management.

I seem to recall that these are all pretty good skill sets for what comes later...

Well that's the best argument I've heard of in favor. It makes good sense but I'm still wondering what I'll do on the side to make ends meet. (not that any other flying job at 250 hrs wouldn't have the same stipulation)

Not to pick on you because many do it. If you could list the name of the airport as opposed to the identifier it would save 500 people Googling KBJC.

Sorry, I don't know why I assumed since I knew my local airport identifier everyone else would too :P
