I want to live there soooooo bad. I hate being shackled to the DFW area.
I will trade you. I take your job and you take mine!I want to live there soooooo bad. I hate being shackled to the DFW area.
What am I missing? One of my DX classmates lives there and loves it. It's gorgeous country, and I'm partial to small towns and the desert.Be careful what you wish for.
Even when the liquor store is closed on Sundays Mesquite isn't too far to drive to pick up drinks 24/7 either.Except for the cost of living isn't that high, just depends on your mean of leaving. SGU is hard to non-rev out of, but Vegas is only about 2 hours away so its doable. SLC is a bit farther to drive to. You can drink beer here, you can get a drink here, it's sold in liquor stores and gas stations its not like its non existent.
A far cry from my home state of Louisiana with drive-thru daiquiri stands and liquor stores.

Those are quite awesome I must admit! It's a wonder how there aren't more DUI's there...really you expect me to wait until I get home!?A far cry from my home state of Louisiana with drive-thru daiquiri stands and liquor stores.
That's fantastic! I'm just shocked that you don't get an open container DUI for even driving with itWe just have a higher tolerance for alcohol than everybody else. When I was in school it was legal to purchase alcohol at 18 years of age. You still couldn't drink it until you turned 21 but you could buy it at 18. I graduated high school in 1994.
