SkyWest Hiring FOs

Anyone going to Reno this year?
In an effort to enhance our pilot recruitment efforts, we will be hosting a recruitment booth this year at the Reno Air Races for the week of September 13th-18th. Our booth will be located outdoors in the "General Aviation" area.
Please forward our personal invitation to any and all who would be interested in coming to the event and speaking with pilot recruiters.
We look forward to meeting them there!
Thank you for your continued efforts in helping us achieve our goals in finding the best possible candidates aviation has to offer.

Call them and talk to Brandi or Camille, they are swamped from what I could tell when I spoke with them today but with a little persistance I got a class date.

Right before i was going to call them...i got this wonderful email telling me i wasn't being hired! which i don't understand...the interview went well in my opinion, i didn't even have to do the sim ride...and at the very end, the guy was all "i'll see you in training in a few weeks!"

I'm sure that comment he made makes the "thanks but not thanks" email sting even more. Few things in life suck more than not getting a job you really wanted. SkyW does give second and sometimes third chances for interviews. Sorry it did not work out.

Anybody getting hired with less than the 1000TT and 100ME?

From what I understand, without prior jet time or being extremely closely affiliated, they're pretty hard mins.

Also, does anyone know what the rumor mill is about classes say for the next 12 months? I'm trying to gauge if I'm at the back end of a hiring wave there.

There are class dates actually scheduled until the end of November. More"planned" for December and beyond, but nothing is set in stone. Otherwise I have not heard any rumors one way or the other.

Has anyone received an interview date or heard back from Skywest after yesterdays job fair in Phoenix?

I haven't gotten a call yet from the job fair I went to in Chicago last Saturday, so I would be surprised if you got a call back that soon. I have the time too,but what can you do. If you do hear anything let me know pilot98 and I will do the same

how likely is it to get hired with 800TT, 300 ME, turbo prop 121 time?

Why did you leave your 121 job after only 300 hours? If you've just started, and are thinking of making the move, I'd say your chances would improve after you have at least 500hrs 121.

I have no inside knowledge about Skywest but if I had to guess the reason they are not calling is if the CRJ and EMB classes for October are full, then there is no rush to interview if the next class is not till November?

Did you attend the job fair in Phoenix? Can you tell me a little bit about how it went (for instance - Did they conduct the technical & HR portions of the interviews?) Thanks for any help!
