Skybus=$10 Tickets

Only a certain number of tickets are available at that price, but the lunacy of it all is what's marketing the airline.

How many tax dollars did the doofuses (doofae? doofix?) in Columbus give those guys again?

From their website:
There are some items you can bring, and some things you can’t
You may bring portable electronic devices with you onto the plane, but note: they must remain off and properly stowed during taxi, takeoff, approach, and landing. Transmitting devices (like cell phones and some PDA devices) may not be used at any time during the flight.
No food or drinks, please. In most cases, Skybus offers these items for sale during your flight.

You cant take food or drinks with you? You've got to be f-ing kidding me?!?!?!?! I always take a bottle of water with me on board because I dont trust the airline to provide me with adequate quantity.

Yeah thats horse crap. What they gonna do search our carry ons for water?

I always bring McDonalds on with me.

I can't believe some of the stuff on their site.

Hungry? Thirsty? Bring cash.

Most people love our full cocktail bar and food menu, but if you’re not into that, it won’t cost you a penny. Why should your ticket cost include your neighbor’s dinner? That also goes for blankets and pillows–which, by the way, you get to keep if you buy. Oh, and don’t sneak food onboard unless you brought enough for the whole plane.

Ryan Air anyone?

How did you guys let this one slip under your radar screens?

Another mock Bristish airline management style (a COST for everything, blanket? $5, need to use the toilet? $5, want an actual seat cushion? $5, want to check your bags - even just one? $20, $15 each additional.)

Everyone was scared ####less about Virgin America - and now look. . .$10 Skybus.

I dont think that Virgin America will be anything like Skybus. Branson has established himself and his airlines as ones with excellent quality.

If only I had a reason, or interest for that matter to visit colombus, Ohio......

Any good strip clubs?

I think people will fly them once and then they'll say screw this!

Hell, man, you couldn't PAY me enough to fly these guys.

Saw one of their planes in CMH the other night. Wow. The seventies called and they want their paint scheme back. A butterfly and day-glo polka dots?!??!

Am I going crazy or was there another thread?

I'm just curious, how do they afford to paint the planes with low ticket prices? Painting airplanes ain't cheap and keeping them clean takes $$ as well (200k for a 747 I hear)

Oh, and don’t sneak food onboard unless you brought enough for the whole plane.

So can I bring cupcakes for the entire class....errr....plane?

You know, a part of me wants to just try them out for laughs.

Anybody know what airports they are going to be flying into? (Not cities)

I know a guy who was in the pricing dept out here that left to head off to Columbus to work for them. We're all placing bets on when he'll come knocking for his job back!

They are paying their CA's $65k a year and FAs $9/hr with no per diem pay. That is absolutely horrible. Why would anybody with half a brain fly / work for this "airline"? If anyone is thinking of going and flying for skybus PLEASE STOP!! Do yourself and the rest of the industry a favor and don't do it. :banghead:

I love how they advertise "On Time Flights!" as one of their "airline's" perks. Apparently skybus must be investing in some sort of weather deterent system to be installed at all their serviced airports. I can't wait until the first time one of their scarebus planes has mechanical problems and causes a delay at the "gate" - excuse me - "stairway" [they're not going to have jetways...

I wonder if the CA and FO have to pay for their beverages as well while flying...

This is a horrible thing to say, but I hope they go out of business before they even start.
