Not trying to be argumentative but you literally work at a company right now where it is a HUGE issue lol. Clearly the milage varies by base. If you fly an outstation run just prepare yourself to be harassed.

No issues calling in sick at my company, in fact I don't have to call. I just push the I'm sick button on my work phone.

I like to call this "Fire Insurance". I have always subscribed to this way of thinking. Some people roll their eyes at this but my thinking is that when the day comes that he has a decision to make a decision about the next step he will take with me that could go either way, the fact that I am personable and come visit to shoot the crap on occasion will tip the scales in my favor.

OK, well I only did the outstation/TDY thing in the states for 5 months. PR for the rest of the time.

It was not an issue at all in OMA, BUF, SLC, MIA or DFW. It's never been an issue at the PR bases and I doubt it's an issue in BFI.

BUR and CVG, I could see it being an issue though...

MIA is the only one in the states that's hosed right now. Both PR bases have been perpetually hosed for 12 months straight as of this Friday. Still no issues or harassment for calling in sick. Not in SJU/BQN at least. Vacation is harder to come by, but no, no issues with calling out sick.
 
That's good. I know 2 guys right now, 1 in particular who was just recently chewed out because he called in sick. I know you do the right thing out in PR, it's these other clowns I'm worried about. Now getting a PTO day? Lol that's a topic for another day...

Oh man, if this were Friday night, you would have poked the bear. Don't even get me started in the already tight schedules, but "hey let's add more runs!!!". UGH! :)

It's all good, because I heard everyone at AMF is going to a 7/7 schedule lol.
