Shoes...

I just got a new pair of Clarks. Pricey as well; but comfortable, airport friendly, and they last a long time.
 
Skechers. Pretty durable, not so pricey so I don't get upset when they scratch, and they don't make the metal detector go off.
 
Aldo or Kenneth Cole always work well for me. Go to your local DSW or Nordstrom Rack for good deals if you can.
 
Bostonain are good but make sure there NONSTOP one's (no metal shank, waterproof).
Also DSW works out about $50-60.
And finally with deice season looming fast the glycol does not effect them.:hiya:
 
just got a good pair of doc martens at the CVG crew store for 50% off ($40). Airport safe and very comfortable.
 
Dockers ProStyle shoes. They're everywhere, tagged as airport friendly, look good and come in a ton of different styles. Broke in easily and the gel heel is comfortable to walk in.
 
Have a Kohls near by?

I picked up a respectable pair from Croft & Borrow. Eddison, cap toe, leather. Under $50 if I remember.

Going on a year of use, been perfect thus far, not expecting any issues out of them and are airport . . .wait. . .TSA safe.

I used to wear Rockports & Lands' End. Bill's are Dunhams that he got at the DL store in ATL. They're composite shank (no beeping!), and have held up very well.

I've got the Dockers ProStyle slip-ons and they were awesome for about the first 5 months. Then a crack started to develop in the right one's sole towards the back where it flexes when you walk and now there's a "squish" sound every time I step on that side. I figured they'd last a little longer than 5 months...do they have a warranty I wonder?
 
Doug has VERY flat feet and wears Doc Martens...they've been awesome in that they last a really long time and he never has a problem with them....but like others, pricey!

A friend of mine followed that advice which had been written on this forum before and got the Doc Marten 1461 and now that my current pair of Deer Stag brand has worn out I am doing to give the Doc Marten option a try. The PIREP is that they are the most comfortable out there; I just need to color the yellow to black with a permanent marker.
 
I have some Florsheims that are pretty comfortable. They have lasted two years so far.

What ever you go with, get "airport friendly" shoes so you don't have to take them off going through the metal detectors.
 
Hush Puppies makes some dress shoes without the fiberglass shank.

Also, check out Justin Roper boots. They are security friendly (fiberglass shank). They don't look like cowboy boots - more like dress shoes but with a boot.
