Sheppard Air

I just wanted to say thanks for this thread....I knew nothing of Sheppard until today and just ordered their ATP test prep. Fingers are crossed.

Definitely! I just got the CFI package... hopefully can knock this out early next week and call up the FAA for a check ride. Dan (N519AT) was super helpful when I asked him about the CFI prep software and convinced me to get it. I used the Dauntless stuff before for my COMM and I'll be anxious to see how this works for all the CFI tests. About halfway done with the FOI prep right now and should have that done by tonight.

Thanks again guys!

Is the CFI stuff broke up between the different tests or one big question bank

I would like to know this also. I assume so since rd757 said he was about done with the FOI prep. Anyone confirm?

Yes, it is broken up. The FOI had 4 sections and the FIA has 5. It definitely worked as advertised! I scored a 96% in under 10min on the FOI and the only two I missed were the two I went back and changed (go figured... always happens, doesn't it?). Haven't taken the FIA yet, but I plan to Monday morning. I got tied up in some work stuff this week and it got put off to the side. So far, I definitely recommend it!!

Congrats on the good score! What about the CFII section?

I highly recommend Sheppard Air for test prep. I was blown away at how easy it made the ATP written and they continually update their database with new questions as well.

Their 3 pack CFI exam prep is a great value also. Although I haven't done it, you could use the CFII portion for your Inst. Rating since its the same question bank. 4 test preps for $100 is a lot cheaper than any other software.

That's what I did. I passed new FOI with their help. Only differences I saw between it and the actual test was the wording on the answers.

I bought their ATP written software and am hopefully going to start studying soon (once I finish my MEI).

I used it for the Comm, passed with a 96%, FOI, FIA, all high 90's,, Currently using it for the FII and I have been slacking on the study but I scheduled my test this Saturday morning so I guess I better buckle down and get off JC's!!

I just used it for instrument (which is now apparently the hardest test) and scored higher than I did for private pilot. Definitely worth it, I will be getting it for all of my future written tests.

I got a 34 using Sheppard! Is that good or did I fail?

Hey!! Look at that, it's a Cessna B-17 Zero!!!

I used Gleim to study for my ATP written, and while I was fairly satisfied overall, I probably would have gone with Sheppard Air given another chance. Sheppard Air really stays on top of any changes made to knowledge tests by the FAA, and it seems like there are no surprises on the actual knowledge tests themselves.

I still got an 88 on the ATP with Gleim, however there were several questions on the test I had never seen before.

Just took my ATP today using Sheppard Air. Just follow the study guide and you can't fail. I glanced over everything for a couple months and didn't study very hard until the week before. Highly recommend memorizing the memory aid page. All of it. I got a 96% and not one question was a surprise.

Thanks for the input, all. Took the ATP today and scored a 96. Highly recommend Sheppard Air - no surprises on the exam whatsoever.
