hen teaser
Took my girlfriend on a Bay Tour yesterday for her birthday, got some cool shots, figured I'd share.
T2 where VX and AA park. New and old towers side by side.
SFO's newly remodeled Terminal E at T3, I control the gates on the left hand side at work.
Terminal C where Delta and Frontier park.
United's F-pier at T3. Skywest pilots, note the mess that is the "new" gate 84. Enjoy it.
The B pier at T1, used by US/FL/WN/AS/QX/OO. Skywest will be leaving soon for T3.
Superbay Hangar, part of the Signature ramp, and a Qatar A340-500 at the VIP spot.
Close up of the Qatar A345. Someone is in town for treatment at the Stanford Medical Center.
Lufthansa 455 getting ready for the flight to Frankfurt.
United's Maintenance Ops Center, Coast Guard, and the cargo ramp. Note the 757s with the tails plucked, bound for FedEx.
Virgin America A320 crossing in front of me over San Francisco. This is the same plane that is departing 1L in my pic of Term B.
Former Pan Am Clipper port on Treasure Island, next to the Bay Bridge. Hangars and Terminal still there.
Closed NAS Alameda, now pretty much a set for Myth Busters. I got to max out a Jag on runway once, that was awesome.
KLM MD-11 climbing out over the Ocean looking at the Sunset District and Sutro Tower.
A Seaplane flying towards Alcatraz.
The usually foggy but always awesome Half Moon Bay Airport. In the 60s, SFO fogged in around Christmas for 2 weeks and PSA flew Electras from SFO-LAX from here pre-TSA of course. One hell of a story.
Crossing over the 30 numbers at SQL looking at the FBO/terminal. Surf Air on the bottom left.
I do most of my flying at night, so it was a treat to see everything in the daylight. My girlfriend had a smile on her face the whole time, a Bay Tour is always a great date. And when we got down, I made Foxtrot for the first time since my year-long hiatus from flying. Good date.
