"See You Next Time"

Do they ever say good afternoon to you after you wish them a sparlkin' day?:D
:laff: Actually, this one guy always says "Rain and Champaigne, baby". Last week on a dead afternoon he was doing tower and I said it on ground on my way to parking and he jumped on the freq just to say it.

But the funs over guys, Old man Taylor is onto us, better get off the lawn!

:p

I have only heard it used once and you could tell exactly what the guy meant by it. I try to stick to a simple "good day" so there is never any confusion.

On a related note, after hearing these, I immediately try to get in touch with foxtrot uniform kilo uniform two for an advisory.

Actually had a guy say this to me today, in that tone. I guess he didn't like the fact that he was a practice approach and I broke him out on 3/4 mile final because of an opposite jet that was ready to go. The practice approach was on 29r, and 11's were in use. But I guess getting broke out prior to the FAF 3 times after that (I guess he pissed off approach also), evened things up.

A guy I was flying with said that that statement means something I dare not say on here. And if I wanted to give a hardy F-you to a controller then I should say, 'See you next time" when checking off.

Is it so?

Lol if that was a pilot going into an airport or airspace with flow times, you better bet the next time I heard that voice he would get the longest possible delay I could get for him from TMU without anyone knowing that it is being done to a point...

Pilot: I'll be ready at 2045Z.
Me (to flow): N12345 will be ready at 2125Z.
