SeaPort Airlines.....

Does anyone know if you can walk a résumé into the Portland location? I will be flying into PDX tomorrow and would like to get face to face with someone in HR or the CP if possible.

Also, if you can walk a résumé in then where might I go? Are they in the terminal or out at an FBO?

It's been awhile since I've been to PDX, but when I as there a couple years ago they were operating out of Atlantic Aviation. Sorry, that's all I know.

Is the training payed?

It's something along the lines of $80 per day when you are in training. Nothing on your days off, so if you sit for a couple of weeks waiting on flight training after the 2 weeks of class, you don't have income for those off days. You go on the monthly guarantee after you pass your check ride.

When I was there last week, they parked right next to the United Express/Skywest gates, kind of between the terminal and Atlantic. But I did see a ticket counter for them in the terminal so that's maybe the place to start.

In Portland, we operate in the sterile area of the airport (the E-gates). There wouldn't be anyone there that would be of much help in handling your resume. The office is next to Atlantic, on the other side of security, it is located next to Atlantic Aviation. That is where someone would be able to steer you in the right direction.

Yeah I found it a while ago. No longer interested.

Thanks for the info though. I'm sure someone will need it.

Any updates on hiring from SeaPort?

I live in Nashville and considered the position they just posted in Memphis. Do they allow any kind of commute situation? I know they have tons of flight leaving Nashville daily, as I hear them constantly on the radio. Ive never flown with them, so Im not sure if every flight is full, or do they have some sort of minimum before a flight can be released.

Heard from many that they're hurting for pilots. Been suggested by all of them that I talk to their to get my application in.

There's a recent thread down a few spots that has lots of recent info and some guys that are currently there.

Not sure if this is a pilot forum only or not, but I recently applied here as a Dispatcher and I haven't heard anything from them. I'm completely qualified and live in Portland, OR. Does anyone know what the normal time frame is on waiting for a reply back from them? I applied about 3 weeks ago. Thanks!
