I don't think all that 7000hrs is single engine piston time. He stated that he fly's an Air Tractor 502B with a Pratt and Whitney PT6-34 turbine on the front. Very popular turbine ag plane. Also SEAT (Single Engine Air Tanker) flying is done in turbine firefighting versions of at planes.
I'm in the same boat and its my biggest fear that none of my single engine PIC turbine time will not be a big plus if I move over to another type of flying career. Aerial application pilot/spray pilot is great for making lots of money but that's about it.QOL really sucks. I can almost taste the regionals. LOL.So close but so far.![]()
Go in to an interview humble and eager to join that company, and I'm sure you'll be fine.
