Rollaboard Packing Suggestions

- super bouncy ball (you think I'm not serious? My gf was going through my laptop bag the other day and was like "OK, you look so freaking business like and yet this is sitting on the front pouch of your laptop bag!")

That is awesome! I found a super bouncy ball in the parking lot of our overnight hotel in RDU once. Man did we have some fun throwing that thing around!

I always pack four uniform shirts, so I have one for each day of work. Sometimes I end up wearing a shirt for two days, but that is only if I have to commute in the day prior or the day after a trip. I also bring two pairs of pants, but only wear one. The second pair is just in case. Never know. Whatever you do, please pack underwear and socks for every day of your trip. I always add an extra undershirt and boxers for that possible cancellation that keeps you on the road an extra day.

One thing I never leave without is my board shorts. You never know when you'll have a nice indoor pool or hot tub to relax in after a long day. Even in winter, those shorts are in my bag.

I highly recommend getting a duffle bag or laptop bag to throw all kinds of "extras" in. I put a fleece, some books, some hand-wipes, hand sanitizer, lotion, vitamins, Shout wipes, iPod, and other similar stuff in an extra bag. It's nice to have all that stuff to occupy your time on a commute or in a hotel.

Your first month or two on line you'll pack way too much. After a year on line, you'll learn what you can do without.

Best alarm clock on earth if you're a paranoid alarm setter like me:

You can set it for a 24-hour clock (ie. 1530, 2230, etc), and if the alarm is set, it glows amber and the little stump is up. If the stumps not up and it's glowing blue, it's not set.

It's got a built-in attached cover that when it's in your case, it disables the screen to save the battery and disables the buttons. That way you can pack it tight in your luggage.

Love it! Best evar!!!!1111oneone.

What about a lunch box? In lieu of a computer bag, I bring my soft-shell mini Igloo with about 4 days of rations in it for one simple reason: I f'ing HATE getting ripped off by hotel and chain restaurants. Their mediocre $10 burgers and $12 salads. Not to mention their crappy service. Bringing my own food saves me dearly and helps me avoid mass amounts of sodium and fat. It's amazing what you can do with a vacuum sealer at home and a microwave in the hotel room.
