Nice new car dude! Does that have a 3rd row in there? I can't remember now, since Mercedes has branched out into so many different SUV sizes in the last few years. In her defense, it will just sit in airport parking all day instead of rolling her and the kids around in luxury if you take it to work tomorrow :)

Yes, the GLS is the largest one. 3rd row.

Choices are a middle bench seat (7 seater) or a middle Captain seats (6 seater).

Mine is Captain seats, so 2-2-2 configuration.

Nice! That's right, it took over where the original GL left off, once they diversified the SUV offerings. Similar seating to what was offered in our Pilot. We opted for the full second row though, rather than captains (against my wishes). I think the back technically has 3 seats, so it's max of 8, and there are multiple times we have actually used every seat. I wasn't a huge SUV guy (or Honda guy) before this car, but it is maximum level convenience and the little details and features are all really well thought out. But Mercedes has always excelled at those things. I imagine the GLS is really perfect.

Oh yeah, I like that. And captain seats are much less cumbersome for kids getting in/out of car, and also mo comfortable. Hows the trunk/hatch space, and does the 3rd/2nd row do a full-flat lay down for cargo if needed?

Yup. Button push in trunk lays down left/right/both 3rd row and same for 2nd row. All push buttons to fold down. :)

I joke with my wife it’s a 6 seater so either baby #4 or a pet dog :)

Nice, that's a pretty slick way of doing it.

I'd definitely go with dog. I've tasted a bit of freedom lately (we left our oldest home alone for a couple hrs today), and I don't think I can go back to baby prison

I hear ya. Yeah we can’t do this again. Baby #3 was four rounds of IVF over 2.5 yrs. We don’t wanna go through that again. 3 is good enough for us (though 4 would have been nice. I grew up with 3 siblings, and she grew up with 3 sibs as well).

Anecdotally, I'm kinda surprised you did all of that and didn't end up with twins or something multiple. So many of my friends who did IVF ended up with, I'll say, more than they bargained for :) I think 3 is a good number actually, keeps them on their toes and cliques can't really form. I grew up as an only child, but have 3 (much older) half-siblings, so I guess I wasn't married to any particular end state. I was probably largely reluctant to have kids in the first place, but I don't regret it in hindsight. I just don't need more a holes yelling at each other than we already have on an otherwise calm Saturday AM :)

No, we only got 4 out every cycle. 2 would fertilize, and then the genetic testing was bad on both.

Times 3.

Last cycle was 4 out, 2 fert, and then finally 1 good chromosomes, Euploid.

That’s the one that took. We would have only implanted one at a time anyway. No chance of twins or multiple for us.

Cars are sooooooooo... boring in America today! They're all mostly SUV's. Coupes are getting scarcer, and even sedans aren't immune to the continuing SVU insanity, and are starting to lessen in popularity. At least here in the states. It's like being at a Class C airport and only seeing A320's, 737's and E175's all day. No diversity anymore in automotive engineering/brands. Blah. The 80's and 90's and even the 2000's had such cool cars and diversity. Much like airliners of that time too.
