RIP ASA

"Basically getting ComAir'd by the mighty Skywest will allow them to transition... with Longevity and benefits, but not on pay and seniority"

I'm not sure how you can lose pay and seniority but keep longevity, usually pay is tied to longevity. Still sucks to get stapled if this is really true.

This thread is the equivalent of a Facebook vague post.

"Guys, I can't believe that just happened to me. I was so scared!"

Then precede to never provide further details, while everyone on your friends list keeps hammering you for details.

While you read the comments and bask in the glow of self-absorbed attention.

So is the cryptic round about crap the OP is talking about, is that Skywest is buying ASA and stapling the seniority list to the back? I seriously cannot put this BS together, can you just plain english it?

I feel like I am taking crazy pills here...

I think that they already own them. They bought XJT and then ASA from Delta. Then they were supposed to merge (one list), but never did.

I will say again this info was given to me by a friend who works there. I have yet to confirm it with a second source, which I am trying to do, though I do think their info is still valad until proven otherwise. I only know a very limited number of people on the ASA side of XJT, and I have messages out to all of them, none of them have responded yet to confirm this. Though I do feel my friend as a credible source, so until proven wrong I am only relaying the info I was given. I only made this post in hopes of gaining further information about it the information I was given.

Edit: the only other information I have is a confrence call at 2:09pm on the 1/4/17 an ASA MEC member said "think about your job progression" - Though this is through second hand info from people whom use to work there.

I have nothing in the fight anymore, though if this information is true my original post stands. I don't wish this on anyone.

If you don't have the email, you are taking things based on information you don't have. A lot of us have friends there, myself included, and the title of this thread is both in bad taste and hurtful based on anything but fact.

This is one of my favorites: "Asking for prayers everyone." Then then showering of "OMG what happened?!?!"

Former SKW, Inc. pilots come into the property at whichever step they were at on the pay scale at the "other" airline. This much is actually true and in the book for anyone to read.
