Riding PSA to Florida this weekend

I actually haven't seen too many ipod wearing, low-time, feeling entitled guys running around recently. Almost 3 years of sitting on the street waiting to get your job back kind of knocks that out of a person.

Don't know what their times were, but the CRJ-200 SKW crew at KCOS definitely fit the mold of the above.....

I was at FIT Aviation last year on a trip. I will stop by campus when I get down there on Saturday though. Gotta get an FIT shirt for my kid to wear. Prove to my wife how there aren't any females on campus. She doesn't believe me./QUOTE]

haha yea the ratio still isn't great, but even in my short time there I have seen it get a LOT better.

Did you forget a sarcasm tag on that?
I'm not sure if I know how to take that statement.

The line below the one you quoted pretty much excludes your employer from the from the stereotype. Your contract is, as you know, the gold standard. (although the extended furlough takes some of the shine off of it)

Typically though the other fractionals and 135s have substantially lower pay, fewer benefits, and less scheduled time off on a given aircraft type than the same type operated under part 91 for a corporation (vs. an individual). I was actually responding to Bob's post though. I don't fly on the airlines enough to get into a pissing match with a commuter pilot like that Flex guy apparently does. So although my post was tongue-in-cheek, I do wish that more fracs and 135s had been able to raise the collective bar to the level NJA did on their last contract.
