Republic to fly for American

^^True.
The dudes, and chicks for that matter, don't want to apply to the other airlines, because they don't want to leave IND. Good news for me, and the others that want to bail as soon as our phone rings.

Everyone has their own sense of QOL.

I'm talking in reference to the YX cert only and as for commutability, its a two leg commute if you don't live in a hub city and its even worse with some of their early starts and late finishes.

As far as IND, I wouldn't say never because there are other regionals that have lost their company's hq as a base. BB will do whatever he can to cut costs. A easy way is to close a base like IND which would ruin a lot of guys QOL that live there, who also happen to be the most senior (highest paid) guys in the company thus getting them to leave. Its basically what's happening with DEN closing for the 190; those guys are bailing quicker than everyone because their qol has taken such a hit. Every time I fly with a former DEN guy, they have already accepted a job somewhere else or have an interview coming up. The IND and CMH guys all seem to be perfectly content to stay where they are.

fair enough.

as for the second part, I fully agree. Talk about not just ruining QOL but absolutely shattering it...I know more then enough captains(at least 10)in IND that have passed up interviews/jobs at the Majors because of the cut in pay(initially) and QOL

To be honest, I'm surprised BB hasn't closed those bases already because it would not only cause senior pilots to leave but senior FA's as well. The senior FA's in IND, PIT, GSO, MCI and CMH make more than second year FO's and can be replaced in less than a month with someone making a quarter of what they earn.
