Now they suspended two controllers for watching a movie on the overnight at Cleveland Center. Funny how they told me this is what they did at a certain facility when it was slow!

that is just dumb, god forbid you use something to occupy your mind.

Sometimes I notice a lot of chatter and laughing in the background when controllers transmitt. Sounds like one big party.

I hate the locking feature on those, I always disable that first thing when I get a new headset.

Potomac sounded like they were having a party in the background this morning when I went through but no stuck mic so I don't know what was really going on. I shouldn't complain though, they were nice enough to let me down to 9000 after I complained about getting bumped around at 11. And that was even with the SWA departures out of BWI complaining about being kept down low for a bit.

They're lucky they get up as quick as they do, our airspace is cut up so bad in the vicinity of BAL they are lucky if they see above 9 eastbound in 20 flying miles.

Philly was landing 27L for some reason today and my FO and I were reenacting (with the parking brake set of course) the conversation going on the SWA cockpits when they realized they would have to taxi from the west of 27L all the way back up to the E gates. Good times.

Also (and totally unrelated) there was a Super Guppy taxiing around the West Cargo Ramp in PHL today. Kind of cool to see.
