Regionals vs. Majors

God why can't you delta guys calm down? It's like your angry American has a higher hourly rate. You do realize 14 months ago airways little bus captains were making 125/hr and f/os were at 85/hr. We've almost doubled in a little over a year. Yal should be happy we are no longer weighing you down. I hope yal get massive gains on your next contract because it's better for all of us if you do. Jesus.

I'm *pretty sure* we all get it. We feel very happy for you guys, hearing it over, and over, and over again. Really, you're awesome.

Me personally, and I probably speak for the majority, I'm just happier than #### that I escaped the commuters and ended up at a place that pays me six figures to fly airplanes without even having to work for the credit. I've never understood why only Delta guys have this mentality.

+1

No one's angry. Not sure where in the deuce you got that from but I'm tryihng to elucidate that hourly rates completely without underlying contract language is nothing more than barspeak.

Who is angry?

And what does my gardener have to do with it? :)

(Unless, of course, the "J" is Juh and not Hay)

Simma!

And who is it that needs to calm down? ;)

Seriously, though... It is HUGE that you guys got your pay rates up. As a year 6 320 FO, I was making more per hour than a topped out 320 captain (along with work rules and so on and so forth). That bodes well for us all, particularly for us deltoids with negotiations coming up shortly!

I'm trying to educate.

Riding the jumpseat, I hear things like "You guys love PBS, we're getting it!"

Whoah whoah whoah there Sparky. PBS ranges from "The Suck" to "Awesome".

The difference is in the contract language and the system built around it in terms of QC (Quality Control) and the ability to say "Nope, run that shizzle again".

PBS is a "concept" and not a specific tool.

The "MCO" operation, the PBS software and implementation was horrific.

When it went "mainline", it blew, but after bankruptcy and using it as an asset rather than a tool to squeeze productivity out of the group, it became amazing.

But it's software + implementation + contract + QC.

That, my friends, is why I said "Whoah Nelly, it's not just pay rates, by far", not any grumpy "jealousy" — which it is not.

Just trying to help a brother out!

It's actually heartwarming to see a family sit like that, hold hands, and pray/be thankful before dinner. These days, it almost never happens. Two working spouses, after-school activities, the continual push away from God/religion, liberalism, etc.

Methinks you'd really better review your religion my friend. Someone was probably a little more "hippy" than "lets hop on my lifted donkey and go fire off the trebuchet".

The farther we can get away from religion the better.

Not too many young women being burned at the stake up in Salem lately.
