I just wish FE time counted; lets punish the dude who had the hardest job. Getting hired at Pinnacle at 300 hour doesn't help me either.
Send me your account number. I have a cousin from Africa that is in need of most generous help.
On a serious note, I really like where I work. My QOL is awesome. And so are my coworkers (so they say), which says something. @Eagle421flyer might know something about that.
Mark,
What do you say to those at Virgin and JetBlue, which have an arguably better "agreement" then us?
In 2010, neither had ALPA on deck, and if I recall rejected a union drive.
You mistake my critical thinking, for anti-unionism.

I'm not anti ALPA.You're anti-ALPA and on property at an ALPA shop?!? ALPA is why we have what we have. Don't forget that!
We do have a good group...but it sounds as though you're a sponge, not a contributor.
I'm not anti ALPA.
I'm anti @Seggy blind-fully trying to force feed everyone ALPA kool-aid.
If I contribute anything to our shop like I did to my previous one, we'll be better off.

Nark said:You're asking a leading question. Of course we have good stuff in our contract that 99% of our group wants to hang on too. You are insinuating that only ALPA came up with that. No my friend. A very smart negotiating committee did. If not, the several thousand other card carrying members would enjoy that benefit. I have a very strong feeling no matter who represented the group during the strike, the outcome would be extremely similar.

Man, and I though I had a massive ego.
ALPA isn't perfect, however, answer these questions and stop trying to beat around the bush here. Do you think that you would be given four days off and the transition conflict because Ben and those in management are nice guys? Or do they do it because the ALPA contract (and subsequent arbitration) says they have to?
No kool-aid, just the facts.
