Hi guys,
I am looking for some advice here.
I am an FO on the CRJ-200 and it has been a while since I've flown a Seminole. I am planning to get my ATP done early next year and was wondering if anyone has previous experiences they could share. Maybe ATP instructors can chime in.
My ATP written exam is completed and good until June 2012. I last flew a Seminole in 2007 for my Commercial Multi (27 hours through UND). I have 2800 hours total, 2370 CRJ SIC. I do quite a bit of raw data flying (no flight director) to keep my scan sharp, but I will be the first to admit my crutch is having a nice map display and FMS data at my figertips to skip most of the headwork.
My main concern is determining what course to attempt. Will a two-day course be sufficient? I am a little bit leery of talking to ATP representatives because I am almost certain they will try to upsell me regardless. Do other pilots who were in my same situation that have any experiences to share?
Thanks!
