:yup:

Yes! This panel is really happening after all! Finally, a reason to get excited. Good luck everyone!

So I hear on the other site that certain states aren't hiring anyone right now, so those folks definitely won't be on the list. Aside from them, though, isn't everyone going to be on the referral list? Am I misunderstanding the process, or does the referral list (like the geo pref email) pretty much go out to everyone?

I want to be excited that we have news, but if this only confirms that they're meeting next week, I don't know how excited I can get over it. Can anyone clarify?

EVERYONE who passed the AT-SAT should be on the referral list for PUBNAT 7. It was a "throughout the nation" announcement. The people who weren't making it to individual states were applicants under a CTI/VRA/CTO announcement. Those are all state specific.

Ding ding ding.

We all got so excited in PUBNAT4 when we found out we made the referral list... only to find out it was like those "participation awards" all the kids are getting in soccer these days. I was plumb overjoyed just to know the process was continuing at that point.

The REAL happy dance should be performed if you get that magical e-mail from the ATO that starts with, "Congratulations! You have been chosen for further consideration for an Air Traffic Control Specialist (ATCS) position at the..." THEN you can start freaking out.

Do we know the e-mail address the e-mail comes from?

Thank you:)

Dudes, congrats.....Just remember there is aLOT of waiting left. So keep the spirits up.......the day you go to the academy is the day you forgot you applied for the job.

So Im kind of confused. Im on the list for 7 but after the geo prefs came out I found out that the states that I picked were full until further notice, hence why Im going to Indiana. Are they setting up slots for a few years from now? haha

Did you select Indiana? Perhaps that was hearsay or perhaps one of Indiana's slots opened up by someone quitting or not hacking the training. Just to show you, when i did my geo prefs.....I selected TERMINAL ONLY....and my first offer was to Houston Center. I was happy, but at the same time....confused. Luckily I received a redirect out of the FAA's needs to Dallas Fort Worth TRACON. There is no rhyme or reason to this game. You'll be lucky to pass the MMPI after all this waiting. :rotfl:

I'm surprised you were selected for South Bend. They only have like 14 employees there. :laff:

Ha I know, should be pretty sweet huh?

I did not select Indiana. I was offered a redirect to SBN because they said waiting for MKE (where my tol was for) or anywhere else in WI could take up to two more years. Even though I signed my tol stating that they could only switch me to somewhere in WI. Apparently SBN has a need, but not that great of one I have to wait until april to go to okc. Good thing I took the mmpi in Feb, youre right i might not have been able to pass now. This process has been insane.:)

Hello. Congratulations to everyone. I have a question though. I turn 31 at the beginning of December. I applied to 7 thinking what the heck, let's see what happens. Is it safe to assume that they will probably see my age and the tight timeframe at panels next week and not select me or does anyone on here think there is hope that they might find a way to fast track me to a TOL if they want me.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Actually...it has been known to happen that someone listing states with absolutely no chance of hire (i.e. states that will not be represented at panels) have been excluded from the list.

Hopefully that is no one this time, because you all put "throughout the nation" in your comments section...right?

It's possible, but unlikely. They probably will not even look at your age, but if they do, they might be nice enough to rush you.

The moment you get the offer email (if you get one) decline the PEPC route (unless of course the PEPC is before your birthday) and start calling your rep like crazy to try and schedule your traditional route interview for before your b-day. At a PEPC, you sign your TOL right there. Traditional route, you have to wait a while after the interview. It must be signed before you turn 31. Be sure to advocate for yourself and it just might happen.
