Realignment Round 2 at 9E

As long as that giant Wookie of yours is last round draft, and he isn't allowed to drink all the beer or chase women until we've had our fill.

Tram, you'd better be a happy drunk or I'm gonna drop you off on Crump next to a liquor store wrapped in a Dixie flag.

That Wookie is on vacation as we speak putting a ring on a certain finger..... And FWIW I agreed with your 10 point scale 100%, wouldn't have changed order of it at all. The only thing that would suck for a Colgan guy is if he wanted to be a lifer here, then he can complain about his loss in relative seniority. Other than that, if you were 50% before and around 75% post SLI that 75% will still make u a line holding Saab CA easily after it's all said and done, so I hope they ain't complaining. Us Colgan people got enough gains with the contract and quota/fences that we can't complain. End of Story.

Eh, I beat him to the punch by a little. God he may even be younger than me, I don't remember. It's a happy thing and a hard thing, but when you find love it's always worth it.

Yeah you might as well get your first one over with :)

Lol. We shall see.

With any luck in 5 years I won't even remember my employee number, or at the very worst I'll be that annoying #1 FO who bids the best lines and then gives them away so he only works 2 times a month.

When I got married I had an old salty PanAm captain tell me that. LOL! Unfortunately he was right! You'll know when you're with the right one.

Yeah I can't wait till the day comes when you never have to look at the seniority list again! Hopefully by next year at this time we all get "paroled" from this joint and we can leave the bickering to those hired after 7/2010..

If I continue to have success with the side business I'm planning to just call it quits, let everyone in this "profession" tear themselves to pieces and I'll come back after a decade or two. Maybe by then we will have adults working for the airlines who care about their pay and QOL and working with other pilots to better the profession.

...

Let's be realistic though, it'll just be GoJets (with Cherokee Cruiser as the fleet manager for the A-330 fleet), no ALPA or any union of any kind, Fedex and UPS will be gone with one of the ACMI's hauling everything, and we will all be on the boards complaining that it's all DPA's fault when they took over Delta.

By this time of course, Doug will have sold JC off to Kit Darby and crew and will lead the wall street sit in that's still going on two decades later with his wife and we will all fade into obscurity thanks to Big Brother and the Ministry of Love. Boris will be long dead (killed off for thought crime).

CHEROKEE CRUISER ? Is that nut job still around? I figured after the award got posted he's in a nut house somewhere, wearing a straight jacket and staring at his Jet U diploma on the wall. He's just rocking back and forth going NO NO NO, this wasn't in the brochure.....It's not fair.

Hell, I was told he did end up over at GoJets...perhaps as a street Captain.

Lol, those Mesaba captains lost about 5 years DOH wise man, never mind they got nearly no contract improvement- when they (not if) they get pushed out of their -900 captain seat they'll be lucky to hold a line on a -200 somewhere (hopefully that's an exaggeration). Now I know there's a certain Colgan MX guy turned Saab (now Q?) captain who lost a lot of years, but thankfully his first 6 was turning wrenches, and the last 6 he was a management pilot, so I'm not concerned.

I kinda have to agree, though, that those CAs on the -900 have less to complain about than the 9E FOs. The 9E FOs were looking at upgrade in about a year. Now? 2? 3 years? Meanwhile, sure, the XJ CA's seniority went down, but for the next 5 years, their day to day QoL won't change much. The guys around my seniority are 01 XJ hires, sure. But I can't bid over to their equipment, so it doesn't matter. In 5 years (assuming they're still here) they'll have a valid complaint. Right now? They're QoL and bidding hasn't changed much since this time last year.

So are we all in agreement that category number 1, the ultimate trump bitch card, should be titled "Any Pinncale FO" ???

Any premerger pinnacle FO.....don't let that food coma courtesy of santarpios cloud your judgement, bud

HaHaHaHa!! I thought it was common knowledge that the only thing we could all agree on is that NOBODY cares about the post merger guys!! And Yankees fans!!

How'd you come up with that goofy username??

I'm sort of bummed I'm not going to be flying the Saab anymore, but I'll take the pay increase any day. I only got to fly it for two months.
Question though, if I don't get the 100 hours of Saab time in 120 days for consolidation of knowledge and then my displacement puts me in class for the CRJ, do I lose my SIC type in the Saab?

You don't lose your sic type (whatever that's worth) you just won't be a qualified crewmember on the saab
