Ramp agents at US Airways/America West now start out at $9.... sad to say but it's been $7.50 up until about a month ago!!

Luckily that's just my "fun job" and I totally use the flight benefits, as do my parrents. Just got back from a 3-day trip to London last month.. Envoy Class... $65 total.

You must be at "mainline"?...taxes alone are $105 per person for my gf and I to go PHL-LHR roundtrip in first...although I work for an express carrier so I must pay more taxes than you.

To sit in back it's around $68. Screw that, I'll pay the extra $$ :)!

UAL Ramp in PHX pays 9.47/hr....180 days probation period, flight bennies active from day 1, same with med/dental/vision etc.

Damn the bagroom! :)

SWA is probably the lowest at around $8.60-something. That being said, you don't have to pay anything for the flight benefits, and there's always OT to pick up. I did pretty well there financially as a ramper, and some of the senior guys were raking it in.
