They are in a cool down period right? Could something like this result in the pilot group getting released for a strike?
Not released. No cool down.

I guess it is the labor relations equivalent of closing the embassies?Yeah, that'll show em.
"Y'all are sure good to us poor reserve folks..."Pretty much, we could have done this months ago... Although pulling the volunteers from crew scheduling might do more harm than good.
Yes, we all know that not having ASAP won't have an adverse effect on the operation at all...Well, due to the union's withdraw of our volunteers, our ASAP program has been terminated. Yay.
Maurus said:I was just curious if such an action by the company would be enough to show an unwillingness to negotiate and allow for a release. I wasn't sure if there was a cooldown right now or not.

Come here at your own peril. Not because management will screw you, (they will to save a buck) but you are also not looked out for by the union.
They clearly don't think about the future or consequences of their actions.
Like I tell potential new hires, you have to look out for yourself because no one else will here.
Like, say, this one?You can alway volunteer for union work or lead an organizing drive for another union.
I think it's funny he is on the hiring committee and tells pilots to look out for yourself. He's supposed to be promoting the place I thought? Kinda funny. It's up to the pilots at RAH.
It's just annoying/hypocritical that there are those bitching about the union but are apathetic to prompting a change.

Who is your current employer? I'd be more than happy to contact them on your behalf. PM me if you would like.Volunteering is not as easy as you make it seem. I have volunteered at my current employer and all I get is we will call you if we need you.

The ibt is doing the equivalent of a hunger strike...the problem is the wardens dont care if you die or not, in fact its cheaper if you do.
If anything, ASAP costs the company money... so by withdrawing from it... were only hurting ourselves.
