...than by condemning the RAH folks, who just happen to be caught in the crossfire between Hoksemma and Bedford.
The RAH pilots are NOT innocent bystanders who "just happen" to be caught in a bad situation. They are enabling the situation because THEY won't support the Midwest pilots and refuse to fly the trips. Sure, they stand in "informational" picket lines. Then they pick up their brain bags and update their MKE charts.
Yes, the lack of scope at Midwest allowed it to happen. But it could not have happened without the pilots willing to operate the jets. No pilots, no flying. Simple.
Everything from anyone I talked to is anger.
You mean this kind of anger? "Man, I'm PISSED about this MidEx business. BTW, if you need me, I'll be in upgrade training."
I guess your anger is tempered by the increased flying and the opportunity to get that PIC time.
I understand this, but wont stop people from calling us this. Already experienced it today
They're wrong. Sorry about that. You can avoid that by wearing your badge backwards I suppose.
And I'd avoid ALPA jumpseats for awhile, too.
Forget about your union, but is the average line pilot pissed off enough to put people in control that can affect change?
Exactly. I guess they've never heard of "working to rule" or "sick calls." Perhaps they have, but I guess no one is really "angry" enough to employ them.
Time for a leadership coup. Get some union leaders that have YOUR long-term interests in mind....Time for a revolution in leadership at Republic? Perhaps.
Perhaps the leadership is more in tune with what the RAH pilots want than we think. More upgrades, more flying, better lines. Gotta get that PIC time so I can get that sweet legacy gig.
What? AA has 2000 guy on furlough? So does UA? And LCC is furloughing, too? As is Alaska, FedEx and perhaps DAL? Who is doing the flying? Oh yeah, WE (RAH) are. Oopsie! :banghead:
