Technically, we do, on the EMB-120, if our AFIS (ACARS-lite) is down. Technically we're supposed to use that to talk to Flight Control too, but I don't think I've seen anyone do it.

NMFC was pretty good at that as well during the 9E, XJ, 9L merger. I would always have to tell them... don't worry... I'm OG I know how bad this is gonna be.
